Must do things in the last semester of your engineering . . .

Hi friends!

Finally free from my placement stuff as I am in the final year of my engineering course and there were really a very few days left for my graduation like many of you.
The first two years of engineering - people still are serious about the marks and grades.
The third year - exposed to the real life of engineering. Enjoyment, hangouts, friends, bunks, movies, fights, confessions, internships and many more. Different people different experiences. Some are sweet and some are bitter.
The final year semester 7 - I (you) realized that semesters 5,6 are so fast that we hardly noticed time running out! and now, is the final semester, SEMESTER 8.
"The last semester of college"- emotional; amazing; lovely and bittersweet.
It’s like everyone in your class shares an unspoken agreement to make this the craziest 2-5 months ever and create memories that will last long after you leave this town and each other. A chapter is ending — and it’s a really good one. Enjoy these last few months. Enjoy them with everything you have. Here are a few tricks of the trade to help you through your last semester.
many of my best buddies are missing but still . . .

1.     Stay out all night. Literally stay out until the sun comes up. Watch the sunrise. You have your whole adult life for sleep.
2.     Learn how to write a good resume. This is important. Once this is done, start applying for internships/jobs now. You’ll be glad you did.
3.     Figure SOMETHING out. Have a plan because when you’re unpacking your shit back at your parents’ house and realize that you have no job, no boyfriend and that your old life is nothing but a memory, it will seem pretty awful.
4.     Do the things you’ve thought about doing all of these years because time is running out. College is about to get over. GO for the trip you had been planning with your friends but it never happened. Hook up with the boy you’ve always had a crush on, but never wanted to make it awkward (because who cares? You’ll never see him again after this semester). Go on a spontaneous road trip. Just do everything. “Whatever, I’m graduating” should be your mantra. Treat each day like a special occasion and each night like a celebration and when it’s all over you’ll be able to say you made the most of your time here.
5.     Thank your parents. Mean it. They have done A LOT for you.
6.     Stop giving into peer pressure. Its time to say NO.
7.     Skip class and chill with your friends. Your professors will be more forgiving than your future bosses will. Getting good-enough grades while doing the bare minimum is an art form. Learn the trick for this semester.
8.     Be awesome. Disputes arise among friends because of different types of self-respect issues and egos. Give up those stupidities. Feel light.
9.     Realize that the right thing will not always be the easy thing. Don’t Give Up. Stand up for what you feel is Right.
10.  Start becoming the person you really want to be, not what others want to see.
11.  Stop making excuses.
12.  Stop being disheartened if you don’t make through your Dream Company or have a back in a subject you never thought you will. Work Hard & Believe in yourself. BELIEF MAKES THINGS HAPPEN.
13.  Learn how to manage your money. Apply for exams like eLitmusamcat if your dream company does not visit your campus.
14.  Put. Down. Your. Phone.
15.  Take mental pictures of everything. Real memories don’t need to be snapped, the good ones need to be cherished in your mind. Also do take as many pictures as you can.
16.  Start taking responsibility for your achievements, and more importantly, for your mistakes.
17.  Stop thinking that the best years of your life are coming to an end. They’re good years, yes. But the best? No.
18.  It’s okay to cry and it’s okay to be scared. These are scary times. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar.
19.  Get on some sort of fitness routine. You have eaten enough junk from your college canteen. Start Exercising. ;)
20.  Appreciate the friends you have now. You’ll be amazed at how much you miss having familiar faces around, even people who are just acquaintances from your classes. So appreciate the people you know now and the fact that they won’t be in your life forever, as much as you’d like to think otherwise. You may have learned a lot in the classroom these past few years, but what you take away from your relationships are the real lessons. Do your best to maintain your relationships, but also understand that some people are not meant to stay in your life for forever. It’s okay.
21.  Forgive the person who broke your heart. Sometimes it is just NOT meant to be.
22.  People get dumped, people get fired, people get sick. Be as carefree as possible for these last few months. Real life is scary. Right now doesn’t have to be.
23.  People will start getting engaged, married, and having babies throughout the next year. It really is okay if you’re not one of them.
24.  A relationship does not definite your self-worth or happiness. Concentrate on yourself for a while. Now is a good time to be selfish.

This is going to be a wild ride, and although your life will never be this carefree again, hopefully you can walk at graduation with no regrets (well…maybe a few!) knowing that college was everything you wanted it to be and more.
Good Luck to Everyone!
Thank you and good day :)
Yours,
Medha Chaitanya- ArcsOfLiFe.
